Why are you writing a blog about A Chapter Per Day? Why have you remained so dlilgent with it?
I’m so sorry that I didn’t answer this more promptly. I thought I did at one point, but apparently it never posted.
Anyway, I guess the answer to the first part is that I didn’t want to leave anyone out. Often times, we worry so much about the popular stories that some of the more minor ones get forgotten. Nevertheless, I think we can learn something from them.
I have remained diligent because mainly I think that it is a great habit to be in. Every day I get to interact with the text which I think is incredibly valuable for spiritual development. Beyond that, I like to do this, so it really isn’t some great difficulty.
Again, I’m sorry it took me forever to respond, but thank you for interacting! I hope we get to see you guys here in Vermont soon!
Just happened upon your blog. Good stuff. Didn’t know you had a philosophic bent but I guess it does not come as too much of a surprise. I’ve been working my way through the books of the bible in desultory fashion this past two years or so. I’m reading the gospel according to Matthew currently. Do you read C.S. Lewis? Take care and see you around.
Yeah, I have a little bit of Lewis. I have gone through the entire Narnia series (not quite so philosophical, but fun nonetheless), and I have read through Mere Christianity. Are you a Lewis fan as well?
I hope this finds you well.
I love your blog!
My wife and I run a small Christian site as well. In fact, we recently created some really beautiful bible verse pictures. (If I do say so myself 🙂
I know how tough it can be to find good images for blog posts, so I wanted to pay it forward and let you know that you can feel free to use them on your blog posts if you ever need a good picture…
You can find them here: http://www.prayers-for-special-help.com/bible-verse-pictures.html
Feel free to create your own collection, or just use them individually on blog posts… We’d love it if you cited us as the source, but that is totally up to you.
But yeah… thanks for doing what you do! Also, let me know if you’d like another bible verse made into a picture. We’ll be making some more, and we can make a specific one if you need it for a post.
And if you do end up using one, let me know and I’ll share your article on our facebook page (56,000 fans)…
Blessings to you. And make sure to pay it forward!
